About Breeze

Breeze’s design journey began in her native Hawai’i where the island’s natural beauty inspired an early appreciation for art and interiors. From Honolulu’s Punahou School, she went on to earn degrees from Wellesley College and Harvard Law.

But ten years into her career as a private equity lawyer, Breeze could no longer sideline her true calling, and pivoted to pursue a Masters of Interior Architecture. After honing her skills at an architecture firm and mentoring with hospitality icon Michael Bedner, she launched her eponymous interior design studio in 2013. Breeze has since built a reputation for deeply bespoke interiors that reflect a rich and refined take on comfort and livability. While function is at the heart of every project, she lives for pushing boundaries, playing with scale, direction, pattern, and color in unexpected ways.

Rooted in art and nature, Breeze’s interiors are layered, adventurous, and designed to lift the spirit and nurture the soul.

“I’m a collector at heart and a curator of meaning and beauty. I like my interiors to tell the story of their inhabitants – there is nothing more personal than how we live.”

Featured in publications ranging from Architectural Digest to House Beautiful, Breeze was named Editors' Pick winner in the Waterside Retreats category of the 2022 HGTV Designer of the Year Awards, an honor for which she is regularly nominated (in 2023 garnering nominations for a record-breaking 6 projects). In addition to appearing on several popular design shows, including Nate & Jeremiah By Design and Property Brothers At Home, she serves as a go-to source on all things color, pattern, collecting, and the art of unlocking joy in your space.

To support her passion for community stewardship, Breeze donates time and resources to several non-profits and over the years has sat on the boards of various non-profits, including the Dupont Underground, Creative Visions Foundation, and the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (CAST). She is currently working on plans for a sustainable and design-forward community-cum-co-housing development, inspired by the Danish model, utilizing the sophisticated and sustainable design intelligence of Native Hawaiians.

Breeze splits her time between Los Angeles and her beloved home state of Hawai'i.

“Hawai’i is at the core of who I am. Before I knew architecture, I understood the horizon line. The shape of a wave. Palm trees and their rustling fronds. The island was my first design laboratory (I was the kid dreaming up Ewok villages in the palm trees).

Growing up in Hawai’i set me on the circuitous but inevitable path toward a creative life.”
