Material Girl: Hide
I know that some people are going to hate this post, but I'm going to risk it anyway. Hide. I have to tell you, many a vegetarian would get freaked out at my old house when they realized that they were standing on a cow hide rug, sacrilegiously strewn in front of a tibetan buddhist altar and enormous buddha head in my living room. I've always had a thing for hide rugs, but try to make a habit of never buying them new if that counts for anything. Especially loving the wave of white versions coming to the market these days.
